Casey Bernholtz, 56
Casey (Phyllis) Bernholtz, 56, of Waltham, Minn., died at home on Nov. 22, 2008, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Casey was born on June 18, 1952 in Warrensburg, Mo., daughter of  Wanda McCully. Casey graduated from Warrensburg High School. As a young adult, Casey moved to Rockwell City, Iowa. On June 9, 1973 she married Steve Bernholtz in Lake City, Iowa, and they made their first home in Waseca, Minn.
Second to loving her family, Casey loved to bowl. She has spent many years enjoying time with the ladies on the various leagues she has bowled on. Casey was a member of Our Lady of Loretto in Brownsdale, where she spent many years doing the bookkeeping. She had been employed by the First Farmers and Merchants bank in Brownsdale as a Bank Officer for the last 17 years, working with the most kind, caring, people. 
 Surviving are her husband, Steve, Brownsdale; three daughters, Jill (Roy) Baker, Austin, Jenessa (Nic) Hill, Winona and Danielle Bernholtz and her fiancé, Russ Crabtree, Austin; four grandchildren, Terren, Kasey and Rylee Baker and Wyatt Crabtree; step-father, Junior McCully, Warrensburg, Mo.; mother and father-in-law, Don and Bev Bernholtz, Lake City, Iowa; sister, LaNora Merrill, Warrensburg; two brother-in-laws, Jack Hoffman, Margate, Fla., Tom (Darel) Bernholtz, Denison, Iowa; three sister-in-laws, Susie (Daryl) Reiling, Auburn, Iowa, Ann (Jeff) Wenck, Lidderdale, Iowa, and Kris (Scott) Bender, Spencer, Iowa.
Casey was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda McCully, sister, Erma Hoffman and niece, Rhonda Rosheck.
  Funeral service will be on 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin, with Father Dale Tupper officiating. Interment will be at the Greenwood cemetery at Brownsdale. Friends may call from 5 – 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 24, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be Steve Janssen, Don Naatz, Rick Neuvirth, Pat Pokorney, Darrell Trom and Dale Underwood. Honorary casket bearers are Merrils Petzenhauser, Mark Morrow, Dr Arthur Mally, Phil Hatten, Tim Neuvirth, Brian Neuvirth and Jerry Melody.
