The Austinaires and Pacelli Singers are the anchor youth groups.

The Bissen Brothers will also perform Saturday night.

Each year the NWS rotate participation between area elementary and Middle School choirs.  This year the Sumner Elementary Junction 8 choir of 49 voices will participate.

The Catholic school elementary and middle schools’ choirs will also perform.

The Northwestern Singers will perform three songs from their upcoming January 2009 show.

“The concert is a favorite of many NWS members because it is so rewarding to see and hear all of the wonderful things happening in our youth music programs,” said Alice Holst, long-time NWS member. “The closing mass choir song, ‘Why We Sing’ is a grand blending of all the voices, young and not so young, that says music builds a bridge, it can tear down walls.”

Tickets are $8 and available in advance at Sterling Main Street, NWS member and performing groups.

They will also be available at the St. Olaf church door Saturday night.
