Beata Juhnke

Beata Theresa Juhnke, 99, of Hayfield, Minn. died on Friday morning, Nov. 28, 2008, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, Minn.
Beata was born July 25, 1909, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Milius) Matter in Waltham, Minn.  She was married to  Ewald Juhnke in January 1930.  She and her husband farmed in the rural Waltham area.  Beata moved to Hayfield in 1993, and to Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield in November 2007.  She enjoyed scrapbooking, quilting and church activities. 
Beata is survived by her son: Gerald (Joyce) Juhnke, Blooming Prairie, Minn.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Anita (Ralph) Senjem, Hayfield; and one brother: Arnold Matter, Waltham.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1967; one brother; and one sister.
The funeral service for Beata Theresa Juhnke will 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in rural Waltham with the Rev. John Heruth officiating.  Interment will be in St. Michael’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.  The family prefers memorials to donor’s choice.
