If you’re in the market for office furniture, a moving truck, computers, televisions or carpet, your ship may have come in.

Robbins Furniture, located on 218 First St. N.E. in Austin, will be holding a one-day blow out auction Sunday beginning at noon.

The furniture store was in business for 75 years until the county recently bought it to prepare for the jail and justice center expansion.

“There’s too much stuff for me to do anything with,” said Donna Robbins, co-owner.

The merchandise to be auctioned also includes copiers, filing cabinets, desks and store fixtures.

“We’re moving out of the building, and we won’t be taking a lot of things with us,” said Michael Robbins, Donna’s son and co-owner.

As for the future of Robbins Furniture, Michael and Donna both agreed that it’s still up in the air.

“I’m mulling over the situation and deciding what to do next,” Michael Robbins said.
