Muriel Hangge, 93, of Austin died on Sept. 30, 2008 at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie, Minn.
Muriel was born on Dec. 8, 1914 to Martin and Margaret Reagan in Rose Creek, Minn. She married George J. Hangge on July 30, 1946 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rose Creek. They lived in Austin for the whole of their marriage. Muriel was a country school teacher with her sister, Monica for many years. She taught third grade at Queen of Angels for 24 years. Muriel enjoyed life to the fullest and her grandchildren were a joy to her.
Survivors include her children: Cathy (Jim) Colling, Jordan, Mike (Sue) Hangge, Arden Hills, Joanne (Al) Hall, Plymouth; five grandchildren: Kristin, Aaron and Jae Hangge, William and Angela Hall; sister, Monica Johnson; sisters-in-law: Gen Reagan, Lucille Cress, Annie Grund and Alberta Gavin; brother-in-law, Ed Hangge.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, George, on Sept. 21, 2002; brothers: John and Bernard Reagan.
    A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating.  There will be a 5 p.m. CCW rosary and a 7:30 p.m. wake service on Friday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 5-8 p.m. and also one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
