Maurine E. Jan, 97
Maurine Evelyn Jan, 97, of Austin, died on Oct. 24, 2008, at the Austin Medical Center in Austin.
She was born July 7, 1911, in Odebolt, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Eva (Tasland) Domino. On Nov. 25, 1930, she was united in marriage to Louis V. Jan at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple made their home in Austin where they raised their four sons, Lloyd, Kenneth, Loel and Gerald. In 1963, they adopted a grandson, Michael Loren Jan. Louis died on Jan. 24, 2004.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth (Patricia) Jan, Livermore, Colo., Gerald (Sharon) Jan, Dallas, Texas and Michael (Susan) Jan, Kansas City, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three daughters-in-laws, Shirley R. Jan, Rice Lake, Wis., Shirley M. Jan, Arnold, Maryland and Minh Smith of Savannah, Ga. and many other relatives and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Lloyd and Loel; a granddaughter, Kathy Rae Jan; three brothers, Victor Domino, Glenn Domino and Dale “Rex” Domino and a sister, Lola.
At Maurine’s request her body has been donated to Anatomical Bequest Program at Mayo. No services will be held. Interment will be at a future date in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. The Worlein Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
