Machinery vandalized

Two Mower County farmers reported vandalism to farm machinery left in fields, during the harvest.
According to the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Richard E. Brown reported a tractor’s windshield was smashed while it was parked in a farm field west of Brown’s residence near Rose Creek. The vandalism was reported 4 p.m. Saturday. Roger Jax reported a grain truck was vandalism sometime overnight Friday.
The truck had it’s front seats slashed and a radio pulled from a console between the seats. Both incidents are still under investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
