Grand Meadow’s football team couldn’t keep up with Mabel/Canton in a 44-0 loss in GM Friday.
The Superlarks (3-3 overall) had a rough homecoming as they fell behind 22-0 at the half and M/C scored 22 more points in the third quarter.
“They where much more physical and we tackled poorly,” GM head said. “They just wanted to play worse than we did.”
Five of M/C’s six touch downs came on plays of more than 25 yards.
GM only had one possession deep in M/C territory, where they fumbled inside the 10-yard line.
Caleb Leichtnam had 69 yards rushing for GM, Michael Gehling had 63 yards rushing, and Killian Smith ran for 28.
