Lawrence H. Daniel Goodew, 85
Lawrence Hugh Daniel Goodew, 85, of Austin, died on Oct. 16, 2008 at Grand Meadow Healthcare Center.
Lawrence was born April 10, 1923 in Red Rock Township, Mower County to George and Grace (Elder) Goodew. On Nov. 22, 1953 he was united in marriage to Stella Anna Christensen at First United Methodist Church in Austin. Lawrence was an employee of Hormel Foods, having worked for 39 1/2 years.
Survivors include two children, Julie (Mike) Pratt, Austin, Steve (Deb) Goodew, Austin; step-children, Marilyn (Mike) Toogood, Rochester, Mike (Heidi) Mellum, Okeechobee, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jeremy Martin, Austin, Nicholas Shaler, S.C., Lucas Goodew, Austin.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Stella; three sisters and six brothers.
The family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Sunday at Mayer Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
