Stiehm, Nagle to face off for Austin mayoral bid

Incumbent Austin Mayor Tom Stiehm and challenger Mark Nagle will face each other in the 2008 State General Election for mayor of the city.

Stiehm, a first-term incumbent, was the leading vote-getter in Tuesday’s State Primary Election for Austin mayor.

He received 1,156 votes or 55.10 percent of the total.

Nagle finished second to Stiehm with 763 votes or 36.37 percent of the total.

Jimmy Dean Hultgren finished third with 179 votes or 8.53 percent of the total.

The totals are all unofficial until canvassed.

The 2008 State General Election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4.
