Southland falls to Caledonia

Southland was swept by Caledonia 20-25, 22-25, 11-25 in a volleyball match in Caledonia Thursday.
The Rebels (7-8-3 overall, 1-4 Three Rivers) started strong, but faded in the last game.
“We quit passing the ball in the third game,” Southland head coach Angie Smith said. “We had one of their servers pick us apart for 12 straight points. We were right with them in the first two games.”
Chelsey Smith had four kills, 15 digs and two aces for Southland, Hilary Johnson had five kills and 12 digs, Katie Barthels had seven assists, six digs and one ace, Amber O’Connell had four kills and 13 digs, and Emily Howton had seven assists and 10 digs.
