Rotaract to charter Austin chapter

The Rotaract Club of Austin is hosting their Charter Party at the Hormel Historic Home today from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The charter party is being held to officially name the Rotaract Club of Austin as a member of the Rotary International family.
A program will be given by Rotaract board members at 6:30 p.m. The board members include: Presiden, Laura Mayberry; vice president, Ruth Neil; secretary, Crystal Andersen; and treasurer, Megan Burroughs.
The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women, ages 20-35, to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist then in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. The goals are to develop professional and leadership skills, to proved opportunities for young people to address the needs of the community and to provide opportunities for working in conjunction with sponsoring Rotary Clubs.
The Rotaract Club of Austin in sponsored by the Austin Rotary Club. The basis of this organization is young men and women living, working or studying in and near Austin. The club is not political or sectarian.
