Nellie Susan Laite Bartlett, 76, died at her home in Sargeant, Minn., on Sept. 22, 2008.
Nellie Susan Church was born June 16, 1932, the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth (Hoffdmann) Church in Waltham, Minn. Nellie was united in marriage to LeRoy Laite and later he died. She married Keith Bartlett in 1987. Nellie worked for Gerard Academy in Austin and drove a school bus for the Hayfield school district for a number of years. Nellie enjoyed gardening, flowers and tractor shows.
Nellie is survived by her husband, Keith Bartlett, Sr., Sargeant; daughter, Nancy Prince, Chico, Calif.; two sons: Louie Laite, Barstow, Calif., Jimmy Dean Laite, Fairfield, Ill.; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; stepchildren: Anna Waters, Hayfield, Minn., Keith Bartlett, Jr., Blooming Prairie, Minn., Ellen Bartlett, Hayfield, Phillip Bartlett, Fla., James Bartlett, Austin; and 11 step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, LeRoy; one sister; and one step-grandson.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept., 24, 2008, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Zion United Methodist Church in Sargeant, Minn. with the Reverend Jon Schultz officiating. Interment will be in Waltham Township Cemetery.
