It seems like the negativity is everywhere. Every time we turn on the television, the John McCain camp is blasting Barack Obama and vice versa. The Al Franken camp is blasting Norm Coleman and so on and so forth.

It’s been refreshing that the Mower County candidates haven’t been blasting each other through television ads.

Some may argue that negative ads are ultimately effective, but a political race, whether it be local or national, should be decided based on the quality of each candidate and not the amount of smears produced by the opposing campaign.
