Eleanor T. Majerus, 92
Eleanor Theresa Majerus, 92, of Adams, died on Sept. 15, 2008 at the Adams Healthcare Center.
Eleanor was born Sept. 17, 1915 in Rose Creek, Minn. to Anton and Olive (Davis) Fruth. On Aug. 2, 1933 she was united in marriage to Jacob J. “Jack” Majerus at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rose Creek. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1966. 
Eleanor was involved in the CCW, making hundreds of quilts for the missions. She did much sewing for people of the community, she loved to travel and she enjoyed gardening-especially her gladiolus. Eleanor’s favorite pastime was playing cards. She was a homemaker. Her family meant much to her, especially attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events.
Survivors include her children, Sister Arlene Majerus OSF, Rochester, Minn., Elaine Kloeckner, Adams, Minn., Dorothy (Michael) Dvorocsik, Myerstown, Pa., Arnold (Shirley) Majerus, Burnsville, Ralph (Barbara) Majerus, Cedar Falls, Iowa, James (Susan) Majerus, Ponca City, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Majerus, St. Clair Shores, Mich.; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Joseph (Bonnie) Fruth, Lafayette, Colo., Vincent (Lorraine) Fruth, Boone, Iowa, Frances (Florian) Otto, Nyles, Mich., Virginia (Bernard) Lammers, Rose Creek; sister-in-law, Gladys Fruth, Grand Meadow, Minn.; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; son, Nicholas; brother, Lawrence; sister, Madeline Ruud; son-in-law, Ambrose Kloeckner.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rose Creek with Father James Seitz and Father Ruben Spinler officiating. There will be a 5 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. wake service on Friday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. and also one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.  Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. The casket bearers will be John Kloeckner, Randy Majerus, Greg Dvorocsik, Wendy Johnson, Mark Majerus, Matthew Majerus.
