Delano “Dano” A. Riles, 45
Delano “Dano” Alberto Riles, 45, of Austin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008.
Dano was born to Alberto and Patricia DeLaCruz on Sept. 12, 1963. He graduated from Austin High School in 1982 and went on to work in the construction industry. Dano was creative, caring and a giving soul and was always willing to offer friends and family a helping hand when needed. He had a passion and great talent for cooking, he loved listening to music, he had a caring nature for children, and he also enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid Viking fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Shawna Riles, Kenosha, Wis.; father, Paul (Cathy) Riles, Plymouth, Iowa; brothers, Dennis (Jessica) Riles, Hudson, Wis., Dominic Riles, Rochester, Minn.; nieces, Robin and Isabel Riles; nephew, Elijah Riles; great-nephew, Cayden Riles; numerous other caring and supportive family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia (Opsahl) Forslund; grandparents, Howard and Hazel Riles, Theadore and Leona Opsahl; uncles, Donny Riles, Curtis Opsahl, Jack Green (Betty); aunts, Nancy Ratzsolf, Mary Niemi (Bill).
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 at Mayer Funeral Home with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #91.
May Dano be at peace with his Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
