County employees honored

Lynnette Carroll is a "sweet sixteen."
The sixteenth Mower County employee honored in the Employee of the Month recognition program.
Carroll was honored at Tuesday's Mower County Board of Commissioners' meeting.
Mike Sutherland, Mower County Assessor, nominated Carroll, a clerk in the assessor's office for the honor. Sutherland said in her over 26 years of employment with the county, Carroll had distinguished herself as a "dedicated employee" whose work benefits "every taxpayer in Mower County."
Sharon Huffman, a co-worker of Carroll's,
said she was "courteous and friendly" with both office staff and visitors.
Sue Davis, Mower County Recorder, said Carroll is "always there to help you."
Len Miller, 4th District, presented Carroll with her certificate and the county board chair extended the commissioners' appreciation to the honoree for her outstanding service to the residents of Mower County.
The recognition program started in October 1999.
The winner has their name engraved on a plaque displayed near the main entrance to the government center with a picture.
Nominations come from various county offices and departments. However, when no nominations are received, a winner for that month could not be declared.
