Charles K. Warrington, 85
Charles Kenneth Warrington, 85, died on Sept. 19, 2008 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, Iowa.
Charles (Chuck) was born Oct. 30, 1922 on the family farm in rural St. Ansgar, Iowa, the son of Frederick and Anna Delia (Monahan) Warrington. Chuck had one sister, Marcene (Heimerman). He was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, Iowa. Chuck attended school in Oregon and St. Ansgar. He married Dixie Frank on Sept. 9, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage and to this union, seven children were born.
He farmed for many years and then began his woodworking hobby, making countless wood items for friends and family. He took great pleasure in spending time with his family and especially his 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Survivors include Dixie, his wife of 61 years; three sons: David (Betty Wilde), Plymouth, Iowa, Tom (Amy Thome), West Bend, Iowa, Dan (Wanda Mayer), St. Ansgar; four daughters: Becky (Dean) Bartusek, Hanlontown, Iowa, Donna (Dave Capuzzi), Rochester, Minn., Sue (John) Hackenmiller, Burlington, Iowa, Dawn (Eric) Tollefson, Charlotte, Iowa; 20 grandchildren: Angi Smith, Holly Overturf, Eric Warrington, Ryan and Evan Bartusek, Brendt, Adam, Luke, Ross and Jordan Warrington, Elissa Berding, Joe and John Warrington, Jenna and Jamie Capuzzi, Tyler, Rachel and Claire Hackenmiller, and Walker and Wyatt Tollefson; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Marcene Heimerman, Stacyville, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
 The family would like to give special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, aides and caregivers who provided special care for Chuck in the past months.
 A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, Iowa with the Reverend John Moser officiating. A luncheon will follow at the KC Hall in Osage. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery following the luncheon. Visitation will be held at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 with a 5 p.m. Scripture Service. His wish was to be cremated. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
