Mary Davis

Mary E. Davis, age 68 of Austin, Minn., died at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie Friday morning, Aug. 1, 2008.
Mary was born August 23, 1939, in Lake City, Iowa, the daughter of Almond R. and Helen J. (Barr) Steinblock. Mary grew up in Austin and married Roger Dean Davis on Dec. 28, 1957. They made their home in Austin, where Mary raised their family and worked at several jobs including being a cook at Johnny’s. She enjoyed Bingo, crocheting, knitting and loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by three sons: Gary (Rebecca) Davis, Claremont, Minn., Tim (Michelle) Davis, Austi, Minn. and Ron Davis, Brownsdale, Minn.; three daughters: Laurie (Gary) Harris, Austin, Minn., Tammy (Jay) Corey, Austin, Minn. and Brenda (Richard) Ellingson, Waltham, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; mother: Helen Steinblock, Cameron, Wis.; brothers: Ed (Judy) Steinblock, St. Cloud, Ron (Anita) Steinblock, Cameron, Wis., Richard (Deb) Steinblock, Austin, Minn. and Duane (Sue) Steinblock, Barron, Wis.; sister: Carole (Kevin) Ziebell, Lewiston; sister-in-law: Beverly (Curtis) Schultz, Owatonna, Minn.; brother-in-law: Martin Davis of California; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Davis; her father, Almond Steinblock; a daughter, Debbie and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Rev. David Breederland, officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
