What an interesting contrast lately. While John McCain talks about Paris Hilton, Barack Obama proposed a New Energy for America plan. Obama wants to provide an immediate $1,000 rebate so we can have some help on high gas prices, and he also wants to invest in renewable energy to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, lower our energy costs and create good jobs. Obama also agreed to a bipartisan compromise so we can start some drilling here in America — he’s supporting an “all of the above” type of strategy. It’s refreshing to see someone put aside the crazy partisanship for a change.

So while Senator Obama is telling Americans about the next generation of biofuels, which will create jobs and help rural economic development, John McCain is taking false swipes at Obama’s character.

So, Senator Obama has won my vote because he’s been consistent and he’s been a leader on the issues I’m dealing with every day.
