I hope you had a chance to see the production of the rock musical, “Chess,” presented by the theater department of Riverland Community College.

It starred 25 current students and alumni from the surrounding area as well as the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota. This was the 11th annual Alumni Show at the Community College on the Austin campus.

All proceeds from the show benefit Riverland music and theatre scholarships. Tickets were only $15 for such great entertainment.

Next year there will be another Alumni Show at the community college.

“The Glamazons,” as seen on the “2007 America’s Got Talent,” will be presented Sept. 19-20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Frank W. Bridges Theatre.
