Mike Selmecki, Austin, sunk a birdie putt on the 27th hole to win Cedar River Golf Course Club 2008 Championship honors over Bryan Peck of Grand Meadow on Sunday, August 3. Mike shot a 1 over par 109 for the 27 holes. Bryan’s 2 over par performance on the links placed him runner up. Roger Gordon of Adams took 3rd place in the Championship Flight.

In the Ladies Division–Shari Wagner, Adams, won the Ladies Championship with a score of 90. Mary Bergene, Elkton, placed second.

Matt Breitbarth of Elkton won the Junior Division by beating Karsen Ulwelling of Rose Creek on the first playoff hole. Breitbarth and Ulwelling had tied with a score of 82 in the 18 hole Junior Division Event.

Other Flight winners were: First Flight: First Place–Jack Klaehn, Dexter; Second Place–Dean Swanson, Grand Meadow, and Third Place–Ron Dillavou, Rose Creek. Second Flight: First Place–Dan Wagner, Adams; Second Place–Brad Emanuel, Adams; and Third Place–Richard Stroup. Third Flight: First Place: Charles Draeger, Austin; Second Place–Willie Blake, Stacyville; and Third Place–Dan Wagemann of Stacyville.
