Ardyth H. Davis, 82
Ardyth Helen Davis, 82, of Austin died on Aug. 27, 2008 at Grand Meadow Healthcare Center.
Ardyth was born Sept. 22, 1925 in Austin to Everett K. and Helen A. (Reynolds) Haney. On April 10, 1948 she was united in marriage to Harold G. Davis in Sioux Falls, S.D. He preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2000. Ardyth was a retired employee of Hormel Foods having worked there 33 years.
Ardy enjoyed camping with her husband, traveling, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She was very gifted with her piano. In her younger years she loved being a camp host at various campgrounds. Ardy liked meeting new people. She was a great talker as well as a good listener. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Survivors include a son, Harold Dean Davis, Odenton, Md.; two step-children, Eldon O. Davis, Portland, Ore., Shirley Stundahl, Albert Lea; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Karen (Jack) Freese, Grand Meadow; brother, Everett S. (Verla) Haney, Menomonie, Wis.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Everett K. and Helen A. Haney; brother, Warner C. Haney; two sisters, Leona VanPelt and Vivian Lambertson.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008 at Oakwood Cemetery with Todd Portinga officiating. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Faribault Library for the Blind.
