23-year-old charged with selling meth

A 23-year-old Austin man has been charged with five felony drug crimes for allegedly selling methamphetamine and simulated substance to a confidential police informant last February and April.
Carlos Leon-Riveros faces three counts of second-degree drug sale and single counts of third-degree drug sale and sale of simulated controlled substances, according to a criminal complaint.
The complaint said Leon-Riveros, known as “Junior,” first sold an “eight-ball” of meth to the informant Feb. 15 in the former Cashwise parking lot off 18th Avenue Northwest.
He allegedly follow up with a meth sale Feb. 19 at an unknown buy site; a sale Feb. 22 at a location off Fourth Street Southwest and West Oakland Avenue; and one April 26 at his Second Street Northwest home.
The complaint said that on Feb. 22, he sold 4.4 grams of a simulated controlled substance initially suspected to be cocaine. In total, the informant allegedly purchased 9.3 grams of meth from the defendant.
