Ronald G. Ness, 59
Ronald Gene Ness, 59, formerly of Austin, died at his home in Anoka on July 20, 2008. He was born Oct. 30, 1948 to LeRoy and Doris (Redwing) Ness in Austin. After graduating from high school in 1966, Ron earned his two year Machine Shop degree at the Austin Area Vocational School. He married Linda Retterath on Aug. 28, 1970 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church. They moved to and made their home in Anoka where they were blessed with one daughter, Karla. The couple later divorced. Ronald attended Advent Lutheran Church in Anoka and belonged to Sons of the American Legion. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. He also enjoyed his dog, bowling, biking and taking walks with his neighbors. He had a true passion for cars.
Survivors include a daughter, Karla (Brian) Luedtke, Princeton; two grandsons, Blaine and Blake; two brothers, Larry (Nancy) Ness, Manhattan, Kan. and Pastor William (Laurie) Ness, Verndale; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with the Reverend William Ness officiating. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Grandview Cemetery, Austin.
