Think globally, act locally.
“All politics is local,” but many policy effects are global.
Adopt US fair tax by 2010, achieve universal fair trade globally by 2020.
Achieve universal health care by 2010 and universal education by 2020.
Rationalize economic globalization by 2010 and environmental globalization by 2020.
Achieve MorePeaceCorps goals by 2010 for LessGlobalWarming by 2020.
Double US Peace Corps by 2010, increase internationalized Peace Corps tenfold by 2020.
Be energy independent at home by 2010, achieve energy independence globally by 2020.
End nuclear weapons proliferation by 2010, achieve a nuclear free world by 2020.
End wars among nations by 2010, end wars and genocide within nations by 2020.
Have scientists verify nonexistence of weapons of mass destruction within all nations.
Eliminate terrorism locally and globally through regionalized collaboration among police.
Spread democracy/reform* not by militarism but by example through volunteerism.
Require two years of voluntary service by all in the US by 2010 and worldwide by 2020.
Achieve immigration reform in the US by 2010 and diversity tolerance globally by 2020.
In order to achieve the above goals, we more immediately need to:
Agree to table diversity “wedge” issues of religion, racism and sexism during Dialog08.
Achieve Unity09 in the US via a cabinet of Republicans, Democrats and independents.
Flesh out the above 15 declarations by independents during independents month, July.
Present this “declaration of independents” to party conventions in August and September.
* Electoral “reforms:” runoff voting, paper-trail voting, and universal voter registration.
