A fund has been established to benefit the Lee and Mary Morem family, who lost their home and possessions to fire.

The fund has been established at Farmers & Merchants State Bank of Blooming Prairie, where checks and cash donations may be left for the Morem family.

According to a family friend, Lisa Bruns, the family lives one mile east of Blooming Prairie.

The family and a family friend were home at the time of the blaze in the early morning hours of Sunday, but everyone escaped injury.

The fire destroyed virtually all of the Morem family’s household possessions.

The fund has been established by friends of Mary Morem, a teacher at Blooming Prairie Elementary School.
