A purse snatched six months ago from the local Labor Center was returned to its owner Thursday, according to Mower County Chief Deputy Mark May, who said that the bag was found with checkbook, credit cards and keys at Driesner Park.
May said a woman reported her black leather purse missing Nov. 11, 2007, from the Labor Center on Fourth Avenue Northeast. It contained $30 in cash, a checkbook and credit card.
An officer working the afternoon shift responded to Driesner following a call about a found purse Thursday, May stated.
He found keys and other identification inside. After a call to the victim, her husband picked up the bag from the Law Enforcement Center, May said.
