11th Annual Austin Public Education Foundation golf event set for Monday

The 11th annual Austin Public Education Foundation golf event takes place Monday at Austin Country Club.
Lunch will be served at noon with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
A golf cart and a 6 p.m. dinner will also be provided.
Current and retired Hormel Foods Corporation employees, who participate in the golf event and contribute to APEF will have their contributions matched by Hormel Foods.
The APEF board of directors includes Marsha Wilson, Jim Bennett, Dean Adams, Fred Halving, Tom Klapperich, Don Fox, Diane Sherman, Nancy Ulwelling, Dewey Schara, Jim Ruud, Rena Langowski.
The honorary co-chairs are Jeff Thatcher, Jim Heimark.
By playing golf participants will help Austin students score great learning materials.
In its history APEF has assisted in purchasing baseball pitching machines, sound system, digital cameras, table tennis equipment, artist/author visits, books, LCD projector and speakers, science lab equipment, relaxation station for special needs students, guided reading materials, climbing wall in elementary schools, High Potential reading materials, drum sander and computer equipment.
Dinner only is $20.
The golf event and dinner is $90.
Additional contributions to the foundation are welcome.
