Mark O. Johnson, 40
Mark O. Johnson, 40, of Waconia passed away on Monday June 23, 2008 at his home in Waconia.
Mark was born on Sept. 8, 1967 in Waconia the son of Arthur E. and Barbara L. (Anderson) Johnson. On Sept. 28, 1996 he married Amy R. Njos at Faith Lutheran Church in Waconia with the Rev. Larry Christianson officiating. Mark was a wonderful husband and father. Mark truly enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his Harley. One of his favorite destinations was going to the cabin and spending time with his family. Mark had a great sense of humor and was always playing practical jokes on everyone. Mark was passionate about cooking on the grill and making the best apple pies. His beautiful smile and eyes could light up a room. Mark loved his church and God and was a trustee at the Waconia Moravian Church.
Mark is survived by his loving family: wife, Amy; children, Blake Njos, Hannah and Owen Johnson; parents, Art and Barb Johnson, Waconia; Sister Laurie (Tom) Mathias, Darlington, Wis.; mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Fran Njos-Bramstedt and Dennis Bramstedt; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kelly (Pat) Njos, Blooming Prairie, Lynn (Eric) Leraaen, St.Angars, Iowa, Laurie Erickson, Cross Lake, Cindy (Steve) Guttormson, Cross Lake, Carol (Rick) Reid, Maple Lake, Jerry (Cindy) Njos, Erving, Texas; best friend, his dog, Molly; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents Owen and Marie Anderson, Earl and Mabel Johnson. Sister-in-law Connie Gilbertson. Father-in-law Dale Njos.
Memorial service will be held Saturday June 28, 2008 at 4 p.m. at the Waconia Moravian Church with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Visitiation held Saturday two hours prior to the service. Interment was at the Zoar Moravian Cemetery in Waconia. Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Randy Peitz, Dave Farrell, Tony Kunze, John Schneider, Mark Kirsch, Tim Dingwall, Kelly Njos, Steve Guttormson Luke Willems and Mike Koosman. Arrangements were handled by the Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
