Letter: Flood-ravaged business says ‘thank you’

Steve and I would like to take a moment to say “Thank you” once again for help during last week’s flooding. People came when we called or came uncalled to see if we needed help sandbagging or moving things in The Studio to higher ground to prevent damage. Ivan Pollock, Cheryl and Gary Maurek, Dane and Carrie Bowlby, Bob and Rob Silbaugh, Maria and Chris Anderson, Margareta DeBoer, Rick McAnally and others whom we didn’t know or recognize. The Golden Tress girls and Marsha Leathers and Sherri Erickson for additional help and lunch when we found a moment to relax when all we could do was wait and see. The City of Austin for being superb in bringing sand to us instantly, providing us with needed sandbags, and checking back to see if we needed more. The MN state conservation department for the ride out in the air boat after we had done all we could. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts — we couldn’t have done it without you.
Sincerely,
Steve and Diane Harrison
