Pacelli Catholic has announced they have hired Jim Parlin as their new athletic director. 

Having this position in-house will help improve communications between Pacelli, Lyle and Austin High and make their programs stronger, according to the school district.

While in high school, Parlin participated in cross country, wrestling and track.  After graduation from Pacelli High School in 1972 he attended Mankato State University where he received his undergraduate degree in social studies. 

He taught at Pacelli High School from 1979 until 1995. He received his master’s degree in educational leadership through Southwest State University.  Throughout the years he has coached ninth-grade football, wrestling and track.  He has been the Pacelli cross country team coach since 1984.

Parlin’s Athletic Director position will begin on July 1.
