Hayfield Community Schools have found a second threat written on a bathroom wall, this time at the elementary school.
According to the school Web site, a message was found at 1:30 p.m. Monday stating that on May 8 and 9, students would be harmed.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the school resource officer are investigating the incident.
The district said they believe the author is a “copycat” to previous incidents at the high school and at Byron and Kasson-Mantorville in the past two weeks.
On April 24, a note was found written on a Hayfield High School wall saying, “Everyone will die on 4-25.”
Students are allowed to stay home from school today and Friday with parental permission.
The district is offering a $500 reward to the information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible, according to the Web site.
