Austin woman faces three drug crimes

A 38-year-old Austin woman has been charged with three drug crimes after police allegedly found marijuana, LSD and Ecstasy in her home during an April search warrant.

Stephanie Barbara Hodges faces three counts of felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime, which has a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, police executed a search warrant at her home, 800 Second Ave. N.W., around 2:35 p.m. April 23. The complaint said the living room was “full of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.”

Police also allegedly discovered three pink Ecstasy pills, a blotter paper of LSD and four bags of marijuana totaling 77 grams. More than $300 in cash was also seized.

The complaint said Hodges was cooperative, polite and took responsibility for all contraband found. She allegedly said a friend had given her the Ecstasy, and that she had forgotten about the LSD.

Her first court date is June 9.
