Chris W. Tiernan, 75

Chris William Tiernan, 75, of Papillion, Neb., died July 26, 2003, in Omaha, Neb.

He was born Feb. 4, 1928, in Alliance, Neb., to Chris A. and Inez R. (Schuck) Tiernan.

He was co-owner, with his father, of Echo Lanes in Austin.

On Feb. 12, 1951, he married Marilyn G. Still in Ft. Benning, Ga.

Chris served in the Army during the Korean War receiving the Bronze Star.

He was a member of Legion Club #32 in Papillion, Neb. and St. Columbkille Catholic Church, also in Papillion.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Tiernan, Papillion, Neb.; daughter, Judy Yamamura, Sammanish, Wash.; sons, Chris W. Tiernan, Jr., San Francisco, Calif.; Robert Tiernan, Antioch, Calif.; three grandchildren; sisters, Nadyne Michael, Omaha, Neb.; Arlyne Nish, Omaha, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 14th and K, Lincoln, Neb., with Father Tom Dowd officiating. There will be a 10 a.m. Rosary.
