Festival had many options

It was three days of non-stop entertainment, with a healthy dose of rain, heat and humidity mixed together.

Which makes it even more remarkable how Austin was able to have a continuous celebration from Thursday to Saturday -- including two displays of fireworks.

We tip our hat to the festival organizers, but more importantly to the scores of volunteers that helped out at the event.

From Bandshell Park, to Mill Pond, from downtown Austin all the way to the Holiday Inn parking lot, festivalgoers busied themselves with food, entertainment and fun.

It's hard to find anyone that would argue there wasn't a bevy of activities for all involved. Organizers made an extra effort to ensure the activities could involve people of all ages, specifically by offering more musical selections.

It was nice to see different activities for people of all different ages. For some, they enjoyed the more than 200 cars at the car show, followed by the again-successful Hambone Blues Jam. Children had the opportunity to mini-golf or ride mini-trains in the downtown area.

The mixture of events helped make this community festival one to remember.
