The Hayfield/Austin Athletics Class C amateur baseball team bounced back from last Monday's shutout loss to Dodge Center by completing the season sweep over the Rochester Roadrunners, 6-1, Sunday night in Rochester.

Mike Haugen threw a complete-game four-hitter for the victory, striking out 10 along the way. Eric Schmeling hit his second home run of the season to highlight the Athletics' seven-hit performance. Matt Johnson added a two-run double.

The Athletics move to 13-13 overall and 8-2 in Twin Rivers League action. They will play at home Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Marcusen Park against Pine Island.
