No one is immune from theft

It's bad news anytime someone's home or business is burglarized.
It's even worse when you hear that churches are not immune from someone's despicable actions, either.
What truly hurts is that more than one church in Austin has been the target of these heinous acts. And one church has been struck twice.
We appreciate that Austin police officers are working diligently on the string of burglaries that aren't leaving a flattering image of our community.
Police officials said they did a spot check of some churches recently and still found doors at a couple of churches that were unlocked. That's only inviting future trouble.
Stealing -- from anyone -- isn't a thrill, a joke, or a way to prove to others that you can get away with something. It's a crime.
We encourage those who have information about these burglaries to come forward and help bring this person, or persons, to justice.
