Two accidents Tuesday night left one motorcyclist dead and two injured.
Kerri Lynn Dubbelde, 40, of Viborg, S.D. was pronounced dead at the scene on Interstate 90 near the High Forest rest area west of Stewartville.
At 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, Dubbelde hit a deer while driving her Harley Davidson motorcycle. The accident caused Cindy Dangel, 42, also of Viborg, to hit Dubbelde's vehicle with her own motorcycle.
A semi-truck driven by John Deatharage, 44, of Fallon, Mo., could not avoid the accident and struck Dubbelde.
Dangel was taken by Mayo One to St. Marys hospital in Rochester.
Deatharage was not injured in the accident.
The second accident occurred when Dubbelde's husband, Robert Dubbelde was standing by the side of the road at the scene.
He was struck by an unknown vehicle in a hit-and-run accident.
He was also taken by Mayo One to St. Marys Hospital.
