Lyle tractor pull planned

LYLE -- The Lyle Tractor and Truck Pull puts the pedal to the metal Saturday, June 28.
Pull time is 10 a.m. June 28 for light class tractors and trucks.
There will be ample seating and parking and admission is free.
Weigh-in begins 9 a.m. at the scale on-site. There will be a drivers meeting at 9:30 a.m.
The cost is $12 per hook and pullers are advised to be on-time, because two sleds will be in operation.
The Lyle Tractor and Truck Pull has become the area's largest and kicks off a weekend of fun at Lyle, where the community will celebrate
with a pre-Independence Day schedule of activities.
New this year is the outlaw competition. There will be two classes with $100 paid out for each class.
Trucks and tractors under 17,500 pounds are eligible.

Stock tractors kick into action 10 a.m. June 28 with 4,000, 4,500, 5,000, 5,500, 6,000 and 8,000 pound classes and speed enforced by skid. A maximum of 10 percent over-stock RPMs allowed. Stock manifold and drawbars and stock size tires or no-cut tires only and no exceptions allowed.

For those pulling sportsmen tractors in the 4,000, 4,500, 5500 and 6,500 pound classes, speed limit will be enforced by skid and cut tires only are allowed. Wheelie bars are recommended and factory turbos only
allowed.

Pullers in the sportsmen tractor in the 7500, 8500 and 9,500 pound classes, they should remember:
First and second gears only, cut tires allowed, 10 percent over stock RPMs and wheelie bars recommended. Stock tire sizes and factory turbos only.

For open class tractors, there are 4,000, 5,000, 6,000, 7,000, 8,000, 9,000 and 10,500 pound classes. Wheelie bars and kill switches are required.

There are also the giant out-of-field class tractors in 12,500, 15,500 and
17,500 -pound classes.
No duals or chains allowed.

There are farm classes at 6,000, 7,000 and 8,000 -pound classes.
