The summer festivals are in full swing and if you're ready to get outside, this is the weekend to do it.

Weisfest, which features numerous bands and takes places at the Mower County Fairgrounds, starts today and goes through Sunday. Also, annual festivals in Lyle and Grand Meadow also take place this weekend.

There's other options, if large gatherings aren't your style. On Sunday, the America Legion Club Post 91 will host mixed dancing from 3 to 5 p.m.

And on Monday, there will be a damage assessment class from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Mower County chapter of the American Red Cross. For registration and information, call 437-4589.
