ADAMS -- Adams Dairy Days celebration was only the beginning.
Now, Heather Hill's work begins in earnest tonight.
Hill, the 2003 Mower County Dairy Princess, and her attendants will be serving ice cream in Brownsdale City Park.
This comes after the weekend's Adams Dairy Days Celebration at which the girls were busy promoting dairy.
On Friday, Hill, Russell and Miller will join Mower County ADA volunteers at Culver's Restaurant for a special promotion.
From 2 to 4 p.m., the dairy princess and her attendants will be selling ice cream cones for a quarter each.
Also Friday, Cristy Sathre, the 2002 Mower County dairy princess, will bring her four-legged dairy royalty to Culver's Restaurant in Austin.
"Hannah," the prize-winning dairy cow, will be on display along with other Holstein celebrities from the Lynn and Jane Sathre dairy farm.
It all marks June Dairy Month and continues with fun at MeadowFest in Grand Meadow and the Lyle pre-Independence Day parade.
Dairy Days fun
Hill won the winner in the 2003 Adams Dairy Days cow-milking contest held Sunday night.
She and her attendants, Russell and Miller, easily out-milked the challengers.
This year, the dairy royalty went up against three Curts: Heimer, Sheely and Krebsbach.
The contest marks the end of a weekend of Adams Dairy Days fun.
Once again, the Mower County ADA's popular ice cream stand proved to be a hit with the celebration's crowds.
According to ADA volunteers, every ice cream treat sold was a sell-out.
