The Mower County local advisory council for adult mental health will sponsor a fund-raising walk Friday.

The walk begins 10:30 a.m. at Cedar House, 1400 12th Ave. NW., and will proceed to the Mower County Department of Human Services building along North Main Street before ending at The Bridge at noon.

The organization will ask for free-will donations to help defray expenses.

Local Advisory Council will serve lunch after the walk. There will also be guest speakers along the walkathon's route.

The public is invited to participate and show their support for the organization.

All walkers should assemble after 10 am. Friday at the Cedar House starting point.
