After a week of tough competition, the Austin girls' golf team is starting to post some quality scores of its own.
"The scores are coming down and that is what we want," said AHS head coach Mark Anderson. "Claire and Andrea really played well today."
Andrea Petersen paced the Austin attack with an 84 to capture medalist honors on the afternoon.
"Andrea was extremely happy with her round," Anderson said. "She has been waiting for this one all season."
Johnson was no slouch either, posting an 86 for the third-lowest round of the meet.
"We have two of the four scores we need," Anderson said. "We just need to find two more and keep these two around 84 and 86."
AUSTIN (360) -- Andrea Petersen 84, Claire Johnson 86, Carissa Gabrielson 91, Katelyn Rizzi 99.
MAYO (373) -- Kelly Gerzseny 87, Sarah Harper 93, Kierin Amundson 94, Jody Schafer 99.
