Charles J. Miller, 31

Charles Joseph "Charlie" Miller, 31, of rural Spring Valley, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at his home.

He was born June 1, 1971, to Kenneth B. and Sandra K. (Kuhl) Miller in Rochester.

He graduated from Spring Valley High School and worked at various businesses in the area. He was a welder at Crenlo in Rochester for the last six years.

Charlie enjoyed baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins, NASCAR racing, woodworking and he was an avid collector.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley and a member of NRA.

Survivors include fiancee, Amanda Brech, Albert Lea; mother, Sandy Miller, Spring Valley; sisters, Bridget (Paul) Grafe, Racine; Laura (Erling) Grant, Preston; Debbie (Jon) Westphal, Spring Valley; Elizabeth Miller, Spring Valley; Jacquelin (Cory) Bell, Grand Meadow; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, three brothers and his grandparents.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2003, with a 4 p.m. Rosary at the funeral home and Friday at the church for one hour before the service.

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley with Father Russell Scepaniak officiating.

Interment: St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery, Spring Valley.
