Lyle school options to be presented

The Lyle School District will hold a tour and presentation beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Board members will give tours of Lyle School at 7 p.m. and a presentation about proposed school construction plans will begin at 8 p.m.
"What the board wants to do is get some feedback from the public," Superintendent Jerry Reshetar said. "Should we move forward with continued planning? If so, when?"
The board was presented four plans by Smiley, Glotter and Nyberg Architect of Minneapolis at its meeting last month. The SGN plans differ from the $11.1 million plan voted down by district residents last fall.
All plans keep portions of the building and will not affect the playing fields like last year's plan. The plans also call for the school to contain two floors.
The plans range in estimated costs from $9.9 million to $8.7 million and have varying layouts and designs.
All registered voters in the district were sent letters about the meeting. The board also will be asking for volunteers to give feedback throughout the planning process if the school decides to try again for a bond issue vote.
