L/P golfers split with Cougars

The L/P boys' golf team continued to solidify its standing near the top of the Southeast Conference Friday, defeating Mabel-Canton 162-194. The L/P girls' squad got their best score of the year with a 258, but it wasn't enough to overcome M-C's 245.

"We had four low scores today," said L/P boys' head coach Mark Buntje. "We were pretty consistent, it was a good day for us."

After not even finishing in the L/P scoring in their last meet, Tyler Fett came roaring back with a 38 -- his low round of the year.

The boys improve to 6-3 in conference and 7-3 overall, while the girls are now 2-6 and 2-7. Both teams take on Lanesboro Monday, with the girls staying at Ramsey and the boys taking to the road.
