With this weekend being the unofficial start of summer, there's activities aplenty to be had. And many of them revolve around the Memorial Day holiday.

Grace Lutheran Church in Austin will be hosting a Veterans services at 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday. All active duty or retired veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces or their families are invited to attend.

Receptions will take place between services and after the late service. Call 433-3445 for more information.

Also, the Bear Creek Lutheran Church in Grand Meadow will host a Memorial Day dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children and $1.50 for pre-schoolers.
