AHS tennis alum sweep successors

The inaugural Austin Tennis Challenge took place this Saturday afternoon at Paulson Courts. AHS tennis alumni and friends took on the current Packer squad, and from an 8-0 sweep it looks like the old guys can still play.
The star of the day was Bruce Westrum, who not only took out AHS No. 1 Mike Binder but also provided donuts for everyone. Coaches Rayce Hardy and Eddie Mjoen ensured that the team will still pay attention in practice the rest of the season by winning their singles matches in decisive fashion.
Former Austin girls' tennis coach Levon Larson had a hand in two doubles victories, and Packer girls' golf coach Mark Anderson accounted for the same.
The current Austin team heads to Mankato West this Tuesday.
