S/GM golf gets edged

Both Southland/Grand Meadow golf teams fell Monday, as Rushford-Peterson edged the boys 173-177, and Fillmore Central took out the the girls 244-257.
A.J. Wiste shot a 43 to lead the way for the S/GM boys, although his teammates were right on his heels as none of the other three scorers carded above a 45.
Rushford-Peterson remains unbeaten in Three Rivers Conference play, while S/GM drops to 0-2 and 1-2 overall. They will be back out on the links today at Cedar River Country Club against Caledonia/Spring Grove.
On the girls' side, Charlotte Retterath was the low scorer on the afternoon for S/GM with a 55. They travel to Rushford-Peterson this Thursday.
